Troubleshooting: Nokia Care Suite Installation Fails

Troubleshooting: Manual Deletion of Previous Care Suite Version (Windows 32bit).

Below you can find instructions how to manually delete previous versions of Nokia Care Suite and other Nokia Service Software Applications.

1. Select Start -> Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Device Manager and remove the following Nokia applications if they are visible in the list of installed programs:

  • NSL Service Modules (e.g. Nsl_service_module_00003)
  • Nokia Service Layer
  • Nokia Care Suite (all versions)
  • Nokia Mobile USB Device Driver
  • Nokia Mobile Phone Driver
  • Nokia Flashing Cable Driver
  • Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver
  • Nokia 3806 USB Driver
  • Nokia Software Updater
  • Nokia Software Updater Pro
  • FLS-4 Driver Installation
  • Fuse Drivers
  • WinUSB Drivers (all versions)
  • Microsoft .NET Framework (all versions, service and language packs)
  • Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable
  • Microsoft .NET Framework (all versions)
  • MSXML (all versions and service packs)

2. Restart your computer.

3. Delete the following folders:

  • C:\Program Files\Nokia\Nokia Care Suite o C:\Program Files\Nokia\Troubleshooting o C:\Program Files\Nokia\Envira
  • C:\Program Files\Nokia\ZuneDrivers
  • C:\Program Files\Nokia\Phoenix (optionally, if Phoenix is installed, uninstall Phoenix first)
  • C:\Program Files\Nokia\Connectivity Cable Driver
  • C:\Program Files\Nokia\3806_USB_Driver
  • C:\Program Files\Common Files\Nokia\Fuse
  • C:\Program Files\Common Files\Nokia\Service Layer
  • C:\Program Files\Common Files\Nokia\Tss
  • C:\ProgramData\Nokia\Fuse
  • C:\ProgramData\Nokia\Nokia Care Suite
  • C:\ProgramData\Nokia\UCM
  • C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Nokia\Nokia Care Suite

4. Uninstall any plug-in components (if installed).
5. Restart your computer.
6. Install Care Suite.
7. If this does not solve the problem, uninstall the following applications:

  • Phoenix (and remove directory C:\Program Files\Nokia\Phoenix)
  • FastTrace

8.Install Care Suite again.

4. Uninstall any plug-in components (if installed).
5. Restart your computer.
6. Install Care Suite.

  • FastTrace

8. Install Care Suite again.

  1. I tried all of the above instructions but I still encountered that problem, “NCS installation interrupted. Your system has not been modified” and besides that, I also encountering many problems using Nokia software updater for retail like “Data package error, corrupted” I tried all Nokia products for downloading Firmware packages but yet it says corrupted, then suddenly it will download the package again, and when it finished, it will do it again and again >.<
