Solve the ‘white screen’ when updated to 10.10.3 Yosemite, and enable the ‘TRIM’ on 10.10.3 Yosemite.

If you are using a Mac with your own SSD, when updated to 10.10.3, you may not enter the system. It will show a white screen(with a ban logo).

You can solve the problem with these steps.

1. Long press the power button until it is shut down.

2. Restart your Mac and hold down the Command and R keys at startup to enter the recovery mode.

3. Find the ’Terminal’ and enter these step by step:

  1. rm -rf /Volumes/YOUR SSD NAME/System/Library/Extensions/IOAHCIFamily.kext
  2. cp -r /System/Library/Extensions/IOAHCIFamily.kext /Volumes/YOUR SSD NAME/System/Library/Extensions/IOAHCIFamily.kext
  3. touch /Volumes/YOUR SSD NAME/System/Library/Extensions
  4. kextcache -u /Volumes/YOUR SSD NAME

4. Restart your Mac.

Notice: If you don’t remember your SSD name, you can press and hold the ‘Option(alt)’ when start the computer, then you can see the ‘Startup Disk’.
